Herbert Hoover Jazz (HHJ) works on acquiring the skills and knowledge required to perform outstanding jazz literature. The award winning HHJ has participated in festivals, community events, and many concerts on campus.
Placement in this group is by audition or invitation and/or the discretion of the Music Director.
The majority of HHJ’s performances are scheduled during second semester and will include campus and recruitment events, and paid gigs that generate funds to pay for the program’s expenses. Subject to availability and Director’s approval, HHJ is available to perform at corporate or community events and private parties starting at $500 per event. Please contact the Director for more information.
Performance at HHS graduation is the final exam for this class and other performances will count as a major grade as well.
